In 2016, Cory Johnston became the first angler to assemble three Costa FLW Series Angler of the Year titles, earning all of his in the Northern Division. This year, Texas pro Todd Castledine joined him as a three-time AOY by topping the Southwestern Division for the third time. With a mammoth 27-pound final-day limit, Nacogdoches, Texas, pro Todd Castledine rocketed up the leaderboard from ninth place to first to win the Costa FLW Series Southwestern Division event presented by YETI at Sam Rayburn Reservoir. One took the form of towering clouds laden with rain and bristled with lightning. The other came at the hands of a tall Texan named Todd Castledine, who sacked up a limit catch that weighed 22 pounds, 3 ounces to take the day-one lead in the tournament, which is presented by Mercury and hosted by Russellville Advertising & Promotions.
