FLW learned today that former FLW Tour pro Glenn Browne of Citrus Springs, Fla., passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 43.

Browne, a four-time FLW champion, last fished the Tour in 2018. He was married to his wife, Melissa, on Jan. 19, 2019, at Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida. His last event with FLW was the Costa FLW Series Southeastern Division event on Okeechobee later that month.

According to Melissa, Glenn had fishing on the mind throughout his fight. His final wish was to visit Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, Mo., so the couple flew to Springfield last week, toured the museum and aquarium, and visited with friends at the Lew’s Fishing headquarters nearby. Prior to the trip, on May 18, Glenn fished the Wolfson Children’s Bass Tournament, a charity fundraiser event, in Palatka, Fla., with his best buddy Jimbo Denton.

FLW will update readers with more information when it becomes available.

The thoughts and prayers of everyone at FLW are with Melissa and Glenn’s family.
