Qualifying Events Format

24 Divisions

• 4 one-day qualifiers per division

• 1 two-day super tournament per division

• Fish as many divisions as you like, or fish close to home

 

Angler of the Year and Co-angler of the Year Awards

• $1,000 Angler of the Year in each division

• $500 Co-angler of the Year in each division

 

Qualify for Regional Championships plus the All-American and FLW Series Championship

• Top 45 boaters and co-anglers plus tournament winners from each division advance to Regional Championships

• Enter all five events in a division, fish at least two and automatically advance to the Wild Card Regional if you don’t qualify for a Regional Championship 

• Top six boaters and co-anglers from each Regional Championship and the Wild Card Regional advance to the All-American 

• Highest-finishing boater and co-angler from each Regional Championship and the Wild Card Regional at the All-American advance to the FLW Series Championship – you only have to beat five anglers to advance

A Dream Come True

On June 27, 16-year-old Noah Crogan’s big wish came to fruition at the Apple Island Marina on Lake Champlain when he became the owner of a brand-new Tracker aluminum bass boat. Thanks to Make-A-Wish Vermont, the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department and local anglers – including Phoenix Bass Fishing League and Toyota Series angler Cole Harris – Crogan was surprised at the marina with the boat, along with plenty of rods and tackle to get him on the water. Though Jacob Wheeler won the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit Super Tournament on Lake Chickamauga in grand style, his win didn’t impact the Angler of the Year standings. Only the original Pro Circuit anglers were competing for AOY points. That means the AOY focus is still on Ron Nelson, who slipped off his blazing pace a bit, but still holds the lead heading into the final two regular-season events in July and August on the Mississippi River and the Detroit River, respectively.
