Luke Dunkin is Pulling Back the Curtain

Luke Dunkin is Pulling Back the Curtain

With Luke Dunkin, what you see is what you get. And you get to see a lot. The three-year FLW pro is all about authenticity – the kind of authenticity that only comes from pulling back the curtain to reveal everything that happens in the life of a Tour angler. As Dunkin puts it, “it’s not all roses.” But make no mistake: None of that is breaking Dunkin. In fact, those sometimes-hard-to-stomach drawbacks to fishing professionally are exactly what motivate Dunkin to do what he loves nearly as much as fishing – letting other people into that life. Studio Notes - Hibdon’s Haven

Studio Notes - Hibdon’s Haven

I was just a young man in the fishing industry when I was introduced to the Hibdons in the late 1990s. One of the first things that struck me about the family is it always had an open door, especially for those new to the sport. Their presence created a sort of home away from home for anglers – a safe haven, Hibdon’s Haven – where the only thing better than the fishing stories was Stella’s cooking. READ MORE »

Top 10 patterns from Lake Lanier

Top 10 patterns from Lake Lanier

Pro after pro came across the weigh-in stage this week at the FLW Tour event presented by Ranger on Lake Lanier gushing about the quality of the spots. Numerous pros said they’d broken their personal bests multiple times since arriving, while others said they didn’t even bother fishing for largemouths; the spots were heavier and more plentiful. And the thing is, the conditions were a rollercoaster throughout practice and the tournament. One could only imagine what might have been had conditions been ideal. READ MORE »

Hallman Hangs On

After weighing a massive 23-pound, 11-ounce limit of spotted bass on day one, Bradley Hallman stayed just strong enough the rest of the way to win the FLW Tour presented by Ranger on Lake Lanier. Putting up 18-7 on day two, 13-1 on day three and finishing with 13-1, Hallman totaled 68-4 to earn $100,000 and his second FLW Tour win.   READ MORE »

Hallman Leads Wire-To-Wire, Wins FLW Tour on Lake Lanier presented by Ranger Boats

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – After weighing in a limit of spotted bass in each of the first three days of competition, pro Bradley Hallman of Norman, Oklahoma, weighed a five-bass limit of largemouth Sunday totaling 13 pounds, 1 ounce, to clinch his victory at the FLW Tour at Lake Lanier presented by Ranger Boats and win $100,000. Hallman led the event for four-straight days after... READ MORE »

Lake Lanier Day 4 Coverage

Lake Lanier Day 4 Coverage

The final day of the FLW Tour presented by Ranger on Lake Lanier has kicked off under very soggy condition’s. The forecast calls for rain basically all day, so the pros will have yet another challenge thrown at them. Heading into the day, Bradley Hallman has a big lead, but it’s not insurmountable. Hallman’s weights have fallen each day, and the folks chasing him down have some momentum on their side. Though Zack Birge is closest, the most confident anglers are Jason Johnson and Jeff Gustafson. Gussy caught a pile of fish on day three and knows where they live, and Johnson lives on the lake and now has one more day to lean on his local knowledge. READ MORE »

Birge may be in second, but he doesn’t have the confidence of someone who sacked up 15-1 and sits in the runner-up position. READ MORE »

Hallman Eyes Another Win

Hallman Eyes Another Win

Back in 2016, Bradley Hallman went into the final day of the FLW Tour kickoff on Lake Okeechobee with a 13 ½-pound lead. His main pattern seemed to be fading, and he ended up catching only two bass the final day. Yet, it didn’t matter. His lead was too great for anyone to overcome. READ MORE »

Hallman Still on Top at FLW Tour on Lake Lanier presented by Ranger Boats

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Oklahoma pro Bradley Hallman has one previous career win on the FLW Tour – a 2016 event on Florida’s Lake Okeechobee, where he led the tournament for four straight days and won by a near 15-pound margin. Hallman is looking to match that feat this week on Lake Lanier, as he weighed another limit of spotted bass totaling 13 pounds, 1 ounce, Saturday... READ MORE »

Lake Lanier Day 3 Coverage

Lake Lanier Day 3 Coverage

If it weren’t for Bradley Hallman, the FLW Tour presented by Ranger on Lake Lanier would be one of the most tightly contested tournaments in recent memory. As it is, the rest of the top 30 are smashed together as tight as can be, and Hallman is streaking ahead of the field. Fishing the same lake as everyone else (really!), the lanky Oklahoma pro sacked up 23-11 on day one and added 18-7 on day two for a massive 42-2 total. At the moment, he leads by over 7 pounds, which is reminiscent of the 8-pound, 8-ounce lead he carried into the weekend when he won on Okeechobee in 2016. READ MORE »
