2019 Contingency Awards

 

Ranger Cup University

Ranger awards $200 to the highest finishing team/angler that meets Ranger Cup University bonus guidelines at each YETI FLW College Fishing qualifier. The award jumps to $500 at the College Fishing Open. Ranger awards $2,000 to the winner of the YETI FLW College Fishing National Championship if the team/angler is Ranger Cup qualified. If the winning team/angler is not Ranger Cup qualified, the highest finishing team/angler that meets Ranger Cup University guidelines at the National Championship will receive $1,000. Additionally, the highest finishing team that meets Ranger Cup University guidelines at the National Championship receives automatic entry into the Ranger Cup University Challenge. Anglers must be registered with Ranger and meet all Ranger Cup University requirements to receive a Ranger Cup University bonus. Mercury Bonus Bucks

The Mercury Bonus Bucks contingency bonus goes to the winning angler in each qualifying event if he or she is the original registered owner/first purchaser of a 2017 or newer 115-250 HP Mercury outboard. (Mercury National Team pro team members are excluded, as National Team contractual incentives will apply.)

  • Angler must be the original registered owner/first purchaser of a 2017 or newer Mercury outboard, 115 through 250 HP only. Mercury Racing and Mercruiser engines are excluded regardless of horsepower rating.
  • Angler must have the outboard registered with Mercury prior to competing. The Mercury Warranty registration phone number is 920.929.5054.
  • Angler must use the outboard all days of competition during the tournament.
  • Mercury has final say on approvals for all contingency payouts and reserves the right to change or discontinue this program at any time without notice.

It is the responsibility of anglers to make sure the engine is registered in their name with Mercury prior to competing. Non-registered engines will not be eligible. Note: For engines purchased from Mercury pro staff, please call the warranty line to confirm registration eligibility.

Costa FLW Rewards

Costa awards a pair of Costa sunglasses to each member of the highest-finishing team that meets Costa FLW Rewards contingency requirements in each YETI FLW College Fishing tournament. The second-highest finishing team members each receive a $100 Costa clothing certificate. 

Requirements:

The Costa logo must be visible on the front of your jersey or Costa branded clothing, hat and/or visor. Costa branded sunglasses must be worn on stage (on your face, around your neck or on your hat). The Costa logo must be displayed on your tow vehicle and/or boat.  You must verify participation in the Costa FLW Rewards program at registration for each tournament by showing FLW staff the Costa logo on your jersey, Costa branded clothing, hat and/or visor.


Bass Pro Shops

Qualifiers and Open: Bass Pro Shops awards a $250 gift card to each member of the winning team ($500 total) if registered in the program or a $125 gift card to each member of the highest finishing team ($250 total) registered in the program.

National Championship: Bass Pro Shops awards a $1,000 gift card to each member of the winning team ($2,000 total) if registered in the program or a $500 gift card to each member of the highest finishing team ($1,000 total) registered in the program.

NITRO and TRACKER boat owners receive an additional $500 Bass Pro Shops gift card ($1,000 total) for a win or an additional $250 Bass Pro Shops gift card ($500 total) as the highest finishers if they fish from their Nitro or Tracker boat, display a Nitro or Tracker logo on their tournament jersey and are registered in the program.

Registered participants also receive 25% off Bass Pro Shops branded merchandise. Requirements: Fish YETI FLW College Fishing events, display the Bass Pro Shops logo (min. 4” wide) on sleeve or chest of tournament jersey and display a Bass Pro Shops decal on boat or tow vehicle. T-H Marine Atlas Award

T-H Marine awards cash prizes to Atlas Awards members who are the winners or highest qualifying finisher of sanctioned events, giving everyone the opportunity to win like top-level pros.

The Atlas Awards program is just $29.99 for a one-year (Jan. 1, 2019– Dec. 31, 2019) membership and gives all anglers the chance to compete for, and win, extra money just for having T-H Marine parts on their boat. This also includes one T-H Marine hat and 2 logo decals. Logo decal on boat and jersey must be worn on stage. Jersey logo can be replaced with Atlas cap.

Highest Finisher Awards:

If an Atlas Awards member does not win the event, T-H Marine will pay $100 to the highest finishing Atlas Awards member inside the top 10 percent or $50 to the highest finisher inside the top 20 percent. To receive the highest finisher award, Atlas Awards member must own Atlas Hydraulic Jack plate and fill out claim form. All Atlas Awards claims must be submitted within 30 days of tournament win. Claims must be made through the online claims form.


Power-Pole Captains Cash Rewards Club

Power-Pole awards a $250 Captains Cash Bonus to the winner of each YETI FLW College Fishing tournament if he or she meets Captains Cash Rewards Club contingency requirements.

Requirements:

Captains Cash Club is open to all tournament anglers fishing any 2019 Captains Cash sanctioned event. Be sure to check the current list of sanctioned tournaments. Membership is $24.95 for 2019. Membership valid from October through December of the following year. Registration must be completed prior to any sanctioned tournament to be eligible for contingency payments. Eligible contingency payment participants are registered Power-Pole owners who are registered members of the Captains Cash Club. Sanctioned tournaments are posted at power-pole.com. Registered Power-Pole owners placing in first place overall only in a sanctioned event are eligible for contingency payments. Power-Pole Pro Staff are required to purchase Captains Cash membership in order to qualify for Captains Cash Rewards payments. Only 1 possible payout per tournament. A maximum of one angler per tournament will be rewarded. Sanctioned tournaments must have a minimum of 20 boats registered to qualify for Captains Cash Rewards payments. Winners must be verified through the sanctioned tournament via website, newsletter or other official organization communication along with the tournament director’s signature on claim form. Completed Power-Pole Captains Cash claims forms must be submitted within 30 days of the tournament win and can be obtained here. JL Marine employees and their immediate family members are excluded from participation. Approval of claims and payments is at sole discretion of JL Marine Systems, Inc. Payment claimants must have Power-Pole registered with JL Marine Systems. Power-Pole Captains Cash decals must be displayed on the participant’s boat or Power-Pole anchor. Power-Pole Captains Cash 4-inch logo must be displayed on the upper-left shoulder of the participant’s shirt. Captains Cash logo must be worn from takeoff through weigh-in during all days of sanctioned tournaments. Logo is available in three formats and may be download here: Download logos. JL Marine reserves the right to change, modify, enhance, or terminate the Captains Cash program at any time. Refer to power-pole.com for current rules. Rules posted at power-pole.com will supersede any previously printed rules. It is the participant’s responsibility to know the rules of the program. Captains Cash participants must meet all requirements and submit proof that they were met. Power-Pole Captains Cash Rewards recipients will be responsible for paying any and all local, state, federal or other taxes on contingency earnings.


Realtree Fishing Contingency Program

Teams that win a YETI FLW College Fishing tournament and meet one of the following requirements will win a Reatltree.com gift card and be entered in a drawing to win a $2,000 scholarship.

  • A member of your winning team wearing the Realtree Fishing pattern on his/her jersey: $300 Reatltree.com gift card ($150 per student) 
  • A member of your winning team wearing a hat with the Realtree Fishing logo: $200 Realtree.com gift card ($100 per student) 
  • A member of your winning team wearing the Realtree Fishing logo on his/her jersey: $100 Realtree.com gift card ($50 per student)

To redeem your gift cards, you must submit your names, phone numbers, email addresses, tournament name, date and location, and a photo of you and your teammate at the weigh-in to PR@realtree.com. Once received and verified, Realtree.com gift cards will be sent to the email addresses provided. One entry per team per tournament. No need for both team members to submit entries. Awards are not cumulative. At the end of the season, the Realtree Scholarship Recipients will be randomly drawn from the list of tournament winners and will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship ($1000 each).


Falcon Rewards

Falcon Rods awards two (2) BuCoo SR rods to the highest-finishing team in each YETI FLW College Fishing tournament if the team members meet Falcon FLW Rewards contingency requirements. Requirements: The Falcon logo must be visible on the front of the angler’s jerseys or Falcon-branded clothing, hat and/or visor. The Falcon logo must be displayed on the angler’s tow vehicle and/or boat. The anglers must verify participation in the Falcon Rod FLW Rewards program at registration for each tournament by showing FLW staff the Falcon logo on his or her jersey. It is the responsibility of the angler to let FLW staff know they are participating in the Falcon Rewards program.


Navionics

YETI FLW College Fishing

  • The highest-finishing team that meets Navionics YETI FLW College Fishing Rewards contingency requirements will receive its choice of any Navionics chart (winner’s choice) and two FREE Navionics apps.

Requirements:

  • The Navionics logo must be displayed on the angler’s tow vehicle and/or boat.
  • Navionics boat/vehicle decals will be available at tournament registration.
  • The Navionics YETI FLW College Fishing Rewards program winner will be awarded to the top finishing team with a Navionics decal on its tow vehicle and/or boat. It is the tournament director’s decision to award the prize to the winning team.
  • The winning team will be contacted by the Navionics Promotions Manager to redeem its prize.

Scouts BSA Award

The Boy Scouts of America will award an Abu Garcia Black Max Low Profile reel to the highest finisher in each YETI FLW College Fishing tournament who is a current or former Scout (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Scouts BSA, Sea Scout, Venturing or Exploring). Participating anglers must notify the tournament director of their Scout status at registration to be eligible.


Toyota Bonus Bucks

The Toyota Bonus Bucks program is totally free and is available to college students who own or lease a Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner or Tacoma and fish in Bonus Bucks supported events. Vehicle may be registered in parent(s) or legal guardian’s name. You don’t have to win the tournament to win Bonus Bucks; you simply have to be the highest-finishing registered participant and finish in the top 50 percent of the field, with a minimum field size of 30 boats. Though Team USA locked up the top three places, Team Canada placed six teams in the top 10 and averaged 38.98 pounds to win the Pan American Bass Championship on Lake St. Francis.
