Breaking the mold as far as how we look at something is hard to do, especially when it involves the fishing tackle we’ve used for years and come to depend on. The old tried and true. But there’s always room for improvement with anything, and if we ignore that it will only hurt us as fishermen in the long run.

For example, the vibrating jig that came out a few years ago was, at first glance, stupid looking –let’s be honest about it. But as we all know, it’s considered to be one of the most productive lures to ever hit the market and now part of the norm.

Which brings me to the hook that I wanted to tell you about. Just when you though a hook could not be improved, it has been. With the help of Andy Morgan and yours truly, Easy2Hook has developed a flipping hook with its no-knot technology. This flipping hook is strong enough and sharp enough for the best fishermen in the world.

The new Easy2Hook flipping design can be used for many different soft plastic baits.

This no-knot technology has already converted many professional anglers from traditional, closed-eye circle hooks that you tie your line to. It eliminates the weakness inherent traditional knots, and gives anglers 100 percent true line strength.

When I first saw this hook, I was totally amazed by the concept. After testing and using the hook, I was sold. Since I started using the new flipping hook I have greatly reduced breaking fish off. Less line break-offs means more fish and more fish mean better tournament results. There is no doubt the new Easy2hook has helped make me a better fisherman.

It’s easier to show you how it works than to tell you. So watch “Easy 2 Hook with David Dudley” on YouTube.
