Campbell wins National Guard FLW Walleye Tour on Lake Oahe

PIERRE, S.D. – With temperatures reaching 100 degrees at the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour on Lake Oahe presented by Mercury, John Campbell of Marco Island, Fla., was calm, cool and collected as he won his first FLW Walleye Tour catching a five-walleye limit weighing 15-6 and beating second place Eric Ewing of La Salle, Colo. by one pound. Campbell had a three day total of 15 walleyes weighing 45 pounds, 6 ounces in an event featuring over 300 anglers from 15 states and Canada. Campbell’s win earned him $55,000. READ MORE »

PIERRE, S.D. – Calm winds and warm temperatures on Oahe made for a tough bite today. While most of the weights reflected that, one of the few anglers who was able to match their weight from day one was Mercury pro Danny Plautz. With just 1 pound, 2 ounces separating the top five anglers it seems many are making the right decisions. The duo of Ranger pro Lynn Jurrens and his co-angler from Bemidji, Minn., Lowell Joy made the right choices and brought in 17 pounds, 11 ounces worth of Lake Oahe walleye.
