MINNEAPOLIS – FLW Outdoors, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, has rebranded the walleye edition of FLW Outdoors Magazine to just Walleye. FLW Outdoors produces FLW Outdoors Magazine (bass) and Walleye, each the world’s leading authority on their species.

Walleye will still be available in the print version of the magazine through a subscription and at multiple Walmart locations throughout the country. Fans will also be able to enjoy the magazine and all its features in the new Walleye e-Edition. Digital readers will see more than 30 videos per issue including pro fishing tips, features, tackle tips and more.

“Condensing the title of our magazine to simply Walleye is our way of reminding our readers that we are the only periodical magazine dedicated solely to walleye fishing and the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour,” says Colin Moore, Walleye editor. “The walleye fishery in the Midwest and elsewhere has never been in better shape, and now that the economy is slowly recovering, there’s renewed interest in walleye tournaments and fishing in general. We’re sure that readers will find that Walleye magazine delivers when it comes to providing information that will help them achieve better results and enjoy their fishing time more.

“And because of our special partnership with Walmart, Walleye magazine will be available wherever there’s a Walmart in walleye country – not in the newsstand racks with every other title, but displayed on the counter of the sporting goods department, right where fishing tackle shoppers will find it easily. Walleye fishing is our focus, and we deliver with a magazine that has lots of useful how-to illustrations, news about fishing-tackle industry trends and the latest scoop on what walleye pros are using to win tournaments on the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour.”

The rebranding of the magazine will not affect the content. Walleye will still provide great tournament information, pro tips, in-depth features, tackle tips and more. The magazine will feature a new masthead and include the addition of new illustrated departments that are eye-catching, but also serve as a resource for teaching advanced techniques.

Fans can visit FLWOutdoors.com to subscribe today. Subscriptions for the print edition are $15 and the e-Edition is available for only $5.
