Art reflects life, inspires conservation in wild places

Proceeds from select John Banovich artworks are supporting small-but-vital organizations dedicated to scientific research, habitat conservation and public education projects to benefit both wildlife and people.

DALLAS – Renowned wildlife artist John Banovich and his Banovich Wildscapes Foundation launched a partnership with Dallas Safari Club (DSC) to help generate funding for and awareness of conservation needs in wild places of the world.

Proceeds from select Banovich artworks are supporting small-but-vital organizations dedicated to scientific research, habitat conservation and public education projects to benefit both wildlife and people. Current efforts are focused in Africa and Siberia. Three different organizations are working on conservation initiatives crucial for mountain nyalas, lions and Amur tigers.

“I started the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation as a way to give something back to the world that has given so much to me,” said Banovich.

DSC is a major contributor to Banovich Wildscapes Foundation and the host of an annual expo that provides the artist with a premier venue for exhibiting art to the public. Through advertising and promotions, the famed artist will help build the DSC brand and event traffic.

The next DSC convention and expo will be Jan. 6-9, 2011, at the Dallas Convention Center.
