With big winds present even before putting boats in the water, it was obvious that day three of the Toyota Series Northern Division event on Lake Erie was going to throw the anglers a curveball. After a short delay, the new boundaries were set from Marblehead Lighthouse to Cedar Point, and the pros blasted off in search of bass.

Troy Stokes’ leading pattern

Complete results

Though pretty rough in the middle of Sandusky Bay, there is plenty of protected water. Troy Stokes took advantage of that first thing, starting in a marina and then transitioning to the protected section of Erie. Come 11 a.m. or so, he’d only managed one keeper, and it looks like he’s left the door open.

Starting the day in third, Drew Sanford looks to be having the best day so far with fishing pretty tough overall. Targeting current with a small swimbait, he’s put over 10 pounds of largemouth in the boat. Other anglers with a limit are Chase Serafin in fourth and Jonathan Kelley in 10th. Otherwise, it’s been quite tough, with very few limits to show for it.

Weigh-in starts at 2 p.m. ET and is live online. The rundown of who has what is below.

1. Troy Stokes – one keeper

2. Dick Parker – two keepers

3. Drew Sanford – 11 pounds

4. Chase Serafin – five keepers

5. Jonathan Dietz – no keepers

6. Tony Mitchell – one keeper

7. Drew Six – no keepers

8. Lee Rogers – no keepers
