Registration for the Region 2 tournament on Toledo Bend Reservoir closed Monday. All teams competing in the Region 1, 3 and 4 tournaments must register online at HighSchoolFishing.org by 8 a.m. CST time on Monday, March 9.

Each school can enter up to and including six boats for regional competition. Each boat must be entered separately and include the names of the two anglers who will start the day fishing out of the boat (each boat is allowed up to four student anglers, with only two fishing at any given time). The name of the boat captain who will operate the boat for the students while on the water must also be provided at the time of entry. The names of any substitute anglers or boat pilots will be recorded at the Registration/Rules meeting for each regional.

High school anglers will be competing with the goal of advancing to the LHSAA State Championship. The top 10 boats from each regional advance to the state championship. One additional boat will advance from each regional for every 10 boats that compete over a minimum of 50 boats in the regional. All qualified teams compete both days. The full LHSAA bass fishing rules can be found here. The LHSAA State competition is scheduled for April 3-4 on Cross Lake at the American Legion Hall-Shreveport, located at 5315 S. Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport, La.

Five states currently partner with FLW and TBF to offer High School Fishing as a sanctioned high school sport – Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi.
