MINNEAPOLIS – Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced today a sponsorship agreement with Mercury Marine across all FLW tournament circuits. The Fond du Lac, Wisconsin-based marine propulsion manufacturer, will serve as one of two official outboard-engine sponsors in 2018. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“FLW is pleased to announce our continued partnership with Mercury Marine,” said FLW President of Marketing Trish Blake. “The relationship reinforces the commitment of both companies to the sport of professional bass fishing. Our tournaments and expos offer the perfect showcase to display the efficient, high-quality outboard engines that Mercury is known for to the passionate and engaged FLW fans, anglers and consumers.”

Mercury Marine will receive prominent exposure and on-site activation at all FLW-sanctioned bass fishing tournaments and outdoor expos, including interactive booth space and products at designated events. Mercury products will be highlighted across FLW’s multiple media platforms including FLWFishing.com, FLW social media outlets, FLW Bass Fishing magazine and the Emmy-nominated "FLW" television show. Mercury Marine will also act as the presenting sponsor for three events during the 2018 tournament season.

“Mercury Marine and FLW have enjoyed a long and successful relationship and we are excited to continue that partnership in 2018,” said Michelle Dauchy, Mercury Marine chief marketing officer. “Mercury continues to power the world’s best anglers on tour and we are excited for the upcoming season.”

As part of the agreement, FLW will also administer a contingency reward program to top-performing Mercury-sponsored anglers in FLW events. Complete details about the Mercury Marine contingency program will be posted at FLWFishing.com.

Mercury Marine recently announced its first outboard promotion of 2018; the Go With 5 outboard promotion. Boaters can now take advantage of five years of extended coverage to kick-off the new season. The offer includes three years of standard warranty, plus two years of Mercury Product Protection (MPP) Gold, and the promotion runs now through March 31, 2018.
