Ranger Boat

A brand-new Ranger

You could win the same Ranger Z521C powered by a 250-hp Evinrude that the pros rely on in the premier Cup giveaway, which is presented by WCOS 97.5 FM.

Entry forms will be available at the front entrance to the Expo at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center each day, and it’s free to enter. The only stipulation is that you must be present at the final weigh-in at Colonial Life Arena on Sunday, Aug. 13 to win. The Cup winner will draw name to determine the boat winner, but if you’re not there, he’ll draw again (it happens every year; don’t be that guy). Come sign up for the chance at a dream fishing rig.

Jimmy Houston and Hank Parker

A trip with Jimmy Houston and Hank Parker

You’ll never have more fun than what you’d experience if you won the 107.5 FM The Game “Ultimate Fishing Experience” presented by Quaker State, which includes a free fishing trip with Jimmy Houston and Hank Parker at Houston’s private lake in Oklahoma.

To register to win, swing by the 107.5 FM The Game Seminar Room in the FLW Expo and take in a seminar. You’ll automatically be entered. The winner and a guest will crush hawgs with Jimmy and Hank, and they’ll get a $500 Shell gas card to help cover travel expenses.

1,000 free rods and reels for kids

This is one of the most popular giveaways each year, and for obvious reasons. The first 500 children ages 14 and under to attend the FLW Expo at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center when doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 13 will receive a voucher for a free Kid Casters Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Steinhauser Deluxe, or Dora and Friends no-tangle rod-and-reel combo as part of a giveaway presented by WLTX News 19.

Vouchers can later be redeemed for the rod and reel at the Colonial Life Arena exits following the Aug. 12 and 13 weigh-ins.

Jackson Kayak

A Jackson Kayak

Quaker State and Lamar are partnering to give away a sweet new Jackson Kayak Coosa HD at the day-two weigh-in at Colonial Life Arena on Saturday, Aug. 12. Entry forms are available at the front entrance to the FLW Expo at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. You must be present at the drawing to win.

A sweet lure pack

The Free Times “Big Fishing” Giveaway will award a $200 lure pack, a one-year FLW membership and a kids rod-and-reel combo to the contest winner.

Pro Michael Murphy is all smiles after weighing 11-10 on day one of the FLW Tour on Lewis Smith Lake.

A guided fishing trip from Navionics

Visit Navionics in booth 186 and register to win a one-day guided fishing trip with local pro Michael Murphy on Lake Murray. To register, show the Navionics staff that you have the Navionics Boating app on your mobile device, and you're in. The winner will be selected in a random drawing at the conclusion of the Expo at 4 p.m. on Aug. 13.

FLW member freebies

Join FLW at the Cup and you’ll receive a tackle pack that includes Charlie’s Worms and Strike King products, a hat, a decal, and VIP passes for early entry and seating at the weigh-ins. Plus, all current and new FLW members get 10 percent off FLW clothing during the show.

Hailing from Minnesota, Josh Douglas is in his third year on the FLW Tour and looking for his first FLW Cup qualification. Were it not for a disqualification in the final event of the year at St. Clair in 2018, Douglas would have sailed into the Cup. After a tough start to the year at Rayburn, he’s planning to get back on track at the FLW Tour event presented by Ranger on Lake Toho. READ MORE »

Florida is a familiar place for FLW competition, and Lake Okeechobee is probably the best-known fishery the Sunshine State has to offer. Russell Cecil is one of a number of standout Texas anglers fishing the FLW Tour opener this week on Sam Rayburn. Sam Rayburn Lake Tour

This year, the FLW Tour kicks off in Texas with a showdown presented by Polaris on Sam Rayburn. Big Sam hasn’t hosted too many FLW Tour events in the past, but it’s loaded with bass and bass fishing history. High Water will Factor at Rayburn

High Water will Factor at Rayburn

Typical winter fishing on Sam Rayburn would call for a lot of lipless crankbaits, Carolina rigs and a focus on offshore structure and submerged grass. However, for the FLW Tour opener January 10-13 a lot of that may be out the window – or at least a lot different than many of the Rayburn sticks in the field are used to. Sam Rayburn has risen steadily since December 10th, and as of January 3, the lake is at 171.43 feet, which is 7 feet over full pool of 164.4 feet. READ MORE »

Big Bass Expected at Opener on Amistad

Big Bass Expected at Opener on Amistad

Lake Amistad might not kick out quite as many massive stringers of largemouth bass as it used to, but the legendary south Texas border reservoir is still a factory for big fish. According to local guide and always tournament favorite Ray “Hanselmania” Hanselman, there are some real giants to be caught at Amistad, but they’ll be at a premium when the Costa FLW Series Southwestern Division rolls into Del Rio to kick off the 2019 season on Jan. 3 READ MORE »

Guntersville Lake Tour

Guntersville Lake Tour

Winding through Tennessee, north Alabama and Kentucky, the Tennessee River is studded with some of the most legendary reservoirs in bass-fishing history. This week, the lake is under heavy pressure from a local championship event, anglers out to have fun and the 198 pros and co-anglers in the Costa FLW Series Championship. Here’s a look at what they’ll encounter on the water. READ MORE »

Guntersville Showing Out for Costa Finale

Guntersville Showing Out for Costa Finale

Few things are certainties in life, but you can certainly count on anglers catching a ton of huge fish when the Costa FLW Series Championship rolls into Guntersville this week. With bass settled into fall patterns and gobs of vegetation still giving plenty of cover to fish feeding in the shallows, there’s a good chance the lake produces 20-plus-pound limits early and often in the championship event.
