Country music superstar Easton Corbin will perform a free concert on the weigh-in stage at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C., on Sunday, Aug. 13, beginning at 4 p.m. ET before the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup final weigh-in. Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend the free concert, which is presented by 97.5 WCOS radio.

With two No. 1 singles, multiple awards and nominations, plus performances on some of the biggest stages in the world, Mercury Nashville’s Easton Corbin has made a lasting impression on the country music landscape. He is lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. American Songwriter says, “Easton Corbin has one of those rare, glorious voices that was made – just made – for singing country music.”

“Easton Corbin is the perfect performer to showcase at the Forrest Wood Cup,” says Patterson Leeth, FLW vice president of marketing. “Each year, the Cup is the culmination and celebration of our anglers’ achievements, and no celebration is complete without some great music.”

Corbin spent 2016 on one of the biggest tours in country music – Carrie Underwood’s The Storyteller Tour – and is currently working on new music for his fourth studio album.

The Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, returns to Lake Murray and the Columbia, S.C., Aug. 11-13 with a $300,000 top prize on the line. The Cup will feature 53 of the best anglers from across four FLW tournament circuits and The Bass Federation. It is being hosted by the Capital City Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board.
