It looks like the final day of the Walmart FLW Tour event on Kentucky Lake by Mercury and hosted by the Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau will be a two-man race between leader Jason Lambert, who has 68 pounds, 2 ounces, and Brandon Hunter, who has sacked up 66 pounds, 10 ounces through three days of competition. With only the top 10 on the water today, the pros should have nearly any ledge in the lake available to them and that could lead to some huge bags. Kentucky Lake Top 5 Patterns Day 3

All week pros at the Walmart FLW Tour on Kentucky Lake presented by Mercury and hosted by the Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau have been discussing the concept of school size on the Tennessee River ledges. What most have agreed on is that megaschools do exist, but they are nearly impossible to entice into firing up. The biggest herds of fish along the river channel, say from 75 “dots” and up have the biggest case of lockjaw. Meanwhile, the smaller clusters, pods or minischools of bass (5 to 25 “dots”) seem to be more cooperative but always on the move. READ MORE »

Brandon Hunter doesn’t quite know why. Andy Morgan thinks he does. And Bryan Thrift probably doesn’t care why; he just cares that it happens. Storylines: Right, but Not Right

Storylines: Right, but Not Right

Anglers have come to know Kentucky Lake as a ledge-fishing paradise. A place where fish flock offshore come summer, forming mega schools by the hundreds that can’t resist jigs, big worms, crankbaits or flutter spoons. Well, the ledges are still there, the fish sure are on them, and the same-old lures are working. Only problem is the schools are acting funny. The giant schools won’t bite, the little schools are suspended and any school seems liable to disappear at a moment’s notice. READ MORE »
