The clouds were scattered early in the morning and guys were catching fish on beds. Many anglers ran to the north end of the lake and were slowly working boat docks and tule lines. Jimmy Reese was spotted catching a 7-pound bass while his co-angler wrangled in one over double digits. Many of the anglers our on the water crew rolled up on had a large fish to show off.

At around 9 a.m., heavy clouds rolled in and anglers were seen running all over the lake. The southern end was reported to have very few anglers. Creek mouths and tule points had anglers on them throwing swimbaits, umbrella rigs and dragging senkos. They were catching numbers of fish but most were right around the 12 inch keeper mark.

The clouds have started to subside and the sun is starting to peak through. Fishing should start to heat up. The largest bag reported was Wade Curtiss at 26 pounds and there were several anglers with bags from 17-22 lbs. Expectations for a bag near or above 30 pounds are still high.
