College Open Day 2 Midday Update

The bass in Kentucky Lake seemed to have shrunk overnight as contestants in the FLW College Fishing Kentucky Lake Open reported lots of “shorts,” but not many good fish. Of all the boats checked, only the University of Alabama reported a limit by midmorning. St. Ambrose Leads Day 1 of the CF Open

Cole and Tanner Atkinson of St. Ambrose University of Davenport, Ia., took the first-day lead in the FLW College Fishing Kentucky Lake Open with a five-fish limit totaling 21 pounds, 8 ounces. In an opening round where only a pair of 20-pound-plus bags were weighed, St. Ambrose held a 1-pound, 2-ounce lead over Illinois State University.
