Just one day after Ram Trucks CEO Bob Hegbloom and FLW announced a strategic marketing agreement that names Ram as the official tow vehicle of FLW, Everett Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Springdale, Ark., becomes the first dealer to introduce a contingency program for Walmart Bass Fishing League anglers.
The dealership will award $750 to the highest-finishing boater and co-angler in each BFL Arkie, Okie and Ozark division tournament that is the owner of a 2014 or newer Ram truck purchased from the dealership.
“This is a huge opportunity for Ram dealers to engage with an incredibly large, passionate and loyal group of truck buyers,” says Tracy Harmon, Everett dealer principal. “More people fish than play golf, tennis and soccer combined, and they all drive trucks. Our goal is to reward them for driving Ram trucks.”
In addition to its contingency program, Everett is sponsoring Walmart FLW Tour pro Scott Suggs of Alexander, Ark., and BFL standout Dennis Bean of Hot Springs for 2015.
“Ram Trucks offers the best combination of towing capacity, fuel efficiency and comfort available,” says Suggs, the first angler in history to win $1 million in a single tournament. “If you live in Arkansas, Oklahoma or Missouri, there is no better dealership than Everett Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. It is the absolute best, and it’s great to see it be the first dealership to step up and reward BFL anglers in its market.”
Additional contingency programs for other BFL divisions are forthcoming. Watch FLWFishing.com for details.
