Boater William Merrick of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 27 pounds, 9 ounces Oct. 1-2 to win $4,268 in the Walmart BFL Music City Division Super Tournament on Old Hickory Lake. Merrick fished midlake with pumpkin-colored jigs to catch his bass.

Hicks winning co-angler

Chris Hicks of Hendersonville, Tenn., earned $2,134 as co-angler winner of the Oct. 1-2 BFL Music City Super Tournament.

Chris Hicks of Hendersonville, Tenn., caught a two-day total of nine bass weighing 23 pounds, 9 ounces to win $2,134 in the Co-angler Division. Hicks also fished midlake and used a D&L jig to catch his bass.

Coming up

The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 20-22 Regional Championship on Lake Chickamauga in Chattanooga, Tenn. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
