Boater Nicky McNeely of Natchitoches, La., caught a two-day total of nine bass weighing 26 pounds Oct. 1-2 to win $4,604 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus as well as a $1,000 Mercury bonus in the Walmart BFL Cowboy Division Super Tournament on the Red River. McNeely used a swim jig and Chug Bug to catch his bass.

6th: Paul Cobb, Montgomery, La., nine bass, 20-0, $844

Tazz Ferrell of McKinney, Texas, earned $2,302 as the co-angler winner of the Oct. 1-2 BFL Cowboy Super Tournament.

Tazz Ferrell of McKinney, Texas, caught a two-day total of nine bass weighing 17 1/2 pounds to win $2,302 in the Co-angler Division. Ferrell caught his bass by fishing jetties with a wacky-rigged Senko.

Coming up

The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
