Boater Clyde McNaron of Trenton, Ohio, caught eight bass weighing 12 pounds, 7 ounces Sept. 25-26 to win $4,668 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the BFL Buckeye Division tournament on the Ohio River at Tanner’s Creek. McNaron was fishing Tanner’s Creek with spinnerbaits to catch his bass.

Luke Asher of Germantown, Ohio, caught five bass weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces Sept. 25-26 to win $2,270 in the Co-angler Division. He was fishing in Tanner’s Creek around rocks to catch his fish.

Coming up

All five events in the Buckeye Division are now complete and the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings in the division have now qualified for the Regional Championship scheduled for Oct. 21-23 on Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
