Boater Todd Walters of Greensboro, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 22 pounds, 8 ounces Saturday to win $3,533 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake. Walters was using a 3/8-ounce jig around docks in the creeks to sack his limit.

Mark Murphy of Lexington, N.C., caught four bass weighing 14 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win $1,777 in the Co-angler Division on High Rock Lake. Murphy was targeting points using crankbaits to catch his winning sack.

Coming up

The next and last BFL North Carolina Division tournament of 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 18-19, at Lake Norman in Huntersville, N.C. After the fifth North Carolina Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
