Sean Wieda of Florence, Ky., and Jacob Wheeler of Indianapolis each caught a five-bass limit weighing 11 pounds, 7 ounces Saturday to win $3,089 apiece in the BFL Buckeye Division tournament on Grand Lake at St. Marys. Both men caught spawning fish on the north end of the lake. Wieda used swimbaits, while Wheeler fished a RC 1.5 custom-painted Tater Hog.

Rounding out the top 10 boaters:

3rd: Daniel Dyke, Centerville, Ohio, five bass, 11-4, $1,374

4th: John Miller, Washington, Pa., five bass, 11-3, $961

5th: Jim Neumaier, Greenville, Ohio, five bass, 10-8, $824

6th: Rickey Robertson, Jr., Hamilton, Ohio, five bass, 10-6, $755

7th: Kyle Weisenburger, Findlay, Ohio, five bass, 9-7, $696

8th: BJ Baxter, Delphos, Ohio, five bass, 9-0, $618

9th: Sean Sink, Clayton, Ohio, four bass, 8-8, $549

10th: James Hailstones, Cincinnati, Ohio, five bass, 8-4, $480

JC Miller of Washington, Pa., was the co-angler winner of the June 22 BFL Buckeye Division tournament on Grand Lake, earning $2,059.JC Miller of Washington, Pa., caught three bass weighing 10 pounds, 1 ounce to win $2,059 in the Co-angler Division on Grand Lake. He fished plastic worms off the bank on the south side of the lake in about 4 to 5 feet of water.

6th: Luke Asher, Germantown, Ohio, three bass, 4-11, $378

7th: Kenny Fieler, Fort Wright, Ky., three bass, 4-10, $326

7th: Jason Owens, Hamilton, Ohio, three bass, 4-10, $326

9th: Robert Fulton, Ray, Ohio, two bass, 4-0, $275

10th: Craig Johnson, Coraopolis, Pa., one bass, 3-9, $240

Coming up

The next BFL Buckeye Division tournament is scheduled for June 12 at Indian Lake in Lakeview, Ohio. After the fifth Buckeye Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 21-23 Regional Championship at Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky., where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
