Boater Mike Parrott of Alexander City, Ala., caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win $3,963 in the FLW BFL Bama Division tournament on Logan Martin Lake. He was throwing a jig in shallow water to bag his limit.

Marquis winning co-angler
Shawn Marquis of Columbus, Ga., caught a five-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 9 ounces to win $1,981 in the Co-angler Division on Logan Martin Lake. Marquis was using a shaky head on a Texas rig in green-pumpkin color in about 10 to 12 feet of water to catch his limit.

The next BFL Bama Division tournament is scheduled for July 17 at Lake Neely Henry in Gadsden, Ala. After the fifth Bama Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 21-23 Regional Championship at Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Ga., where boaters will compete for a top prize of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
