Boater David Waller of Fort Worth, Texas, caught a five-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 12 ounces Saturday to win $3,926 in the BFL Cowboy Division tournament on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. He was throwing green-pumpkin fluke-type baits to catch his limit.

Co-angler William Dowden of Leesville, La., won the April 24 BFL Cowboy Division tournament on Sam Rayburn to earn $1,963.William Dowden of Leesville, La., caught a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 7 ounces to win $1,963 in the Co-angler Division on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. He was using watermelon-colored Magnum Lizards to bag his limit.

Coming up

The next BFL Cowboy Division tournament is scheduled for May 15, at the Red River in Natchitoches, La. After the fifth Cowboy Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 14-16 Regional Championship at Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
