Boater Elmer Roberts of Claremore, Okla., caught a five-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday to win $4,244 in the BFL Okie Division tournament on Lake Eufaula. The cloudy, windy conditions helped Roberts bag his limit using spinnerbaits.

Co-angler Damon Duncan of Kansas, Okla., won the April 24 BFL Okie Division tournament on Lake Eufaula to earn $2,122.Damon Duncan of Kansas, Okla., caught a five-bass limit weighing 15 pounds, 3 ounces to win $2,122 in the Co-angler Division on Lake Eufaula. He and his partner were fishing near the dam in about 5 to 10 feet of water. He started the day with an Elk River Jig, but it wasn’t until he switched to a Baby Brush Hog that he got his kicker fish that helped him win the tournament.

Coming up

The next BFL Okie Division tournament is scheduled for May 8 at Fort Gibson Lake in Wagoner, Okla. After the fifth Okie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 14-16 Regional Championship at Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, where boaters will compete for a top prize of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
