Boater Tim McDonald of Lexington, Ky., caught four bass weighing 11 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to win $4,244 in the BFL Mountain Division tournament on Laurel River Lake.

Rounding out the top 10 boaters:

3rd: Talmadge Marcum, McKee, Ky., three bass, 9-3, $1,413

4th: Jake Morris, McKee, Ky., three bass, 8-7, $990

6th: Bill Day, Frankfort, Ky., two bass, 6-10, $778

7th: John Sparr, Hustonville, Ky., two bass, 6-1, $707

Coming up

The next BFL Mountain Division tournament is scheduled for May 8 at Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Ky. After the fifth Mountain Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., where they will compete for a Ranger 198VX boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
