Boater Brad McCulley of Courtland, Miss., caught a five-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to earn $6,806 as winner of the BFL Mississippi Division tournament on Pickwick Lake at JP Coleman State Park. He was using a football jig and shaky heads in deep brush to snag the victory.

Galloway winning co-angler
Harlan Galloway of Houlka, Miss., caught a five-bass limit weighing 15 pounds, 1 ounce to earn $2,403 as winner of the Co-angler Division on Pickwick Lake at JP Coleman State Park. Galloway was using shaky heads under warm sunny skies to bag his limit.

The next BFL Mississippi Division tournament is scheduled for May 8 at Tombigbee Waterway in Columbus, Miss. After the fifth Mississippi Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., where boaters will compete for a Ranger 198VX boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
