Robert Stiltner of Mount Mourne, N.C., caught five bass weighing 16 pounds, 12 ounces Saturday to earn $3,926 as the winning boater in the BFL North Carolina Division tournament on Lake Norman.

Coming up

The next BFL North Carolina Division tournament is scheduled for April 10 at Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C. After the completition of five North Carolina Division tournaments, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers in the points standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., where boaters will compete for a Ranger 198VX powered by a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard plus a Chevy pick-up, and co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
