EUFAULA, Ala. – As Stren Series tournament leader Travis Adams of Danielsville, Ga., prepared for the final day of competition on Lake Eufaula, he pulled out one rod rigged with a spinnerbait.

“It’s nothing fancy,” Adams said. “It’s just a 3/8-ounce Mann’s “Classic” spinnerbait with a blue-glimmer skirt and a Zoom blue-glimmer spinnerbait trailer tied to 17-pound test Trilene Big Game.”

Today, Adams plans to return to his primary shallow-water areas just south of the 82 Causeway to fish grass and wood.

Next to Adams, second place pro Glenn Browne of Ocala, Fla., was retying a ¾-ounce black-blue jig teamed with a Berkley Power Chunk.

“Pretty simple stuff, really,” Browne said as he pulled out a spinnerbait rod and a Chatterbait Berkley pro Glenn Browne readies a jig for day four.rod, too. “I’m just going back to the grass today. If the wind gets up real bad like they say it’s supposed to, I’ll probably just stay close and fish around here.”

With weights bunched up tight – only five pounds separates first place from 10th – this tournament is still anyone’s game. As ninth place pro Frank Jordan of Bainbridge, Ga., demonstrated on day one, a 24-pound limit is possible on Eufaula right now.

The fourth and final day weigh-in of the Stren Series event on Lake Eufaula will take place on Saturday at the Eufaula Wal-Mart a 4 p.m.
