• Boater Division (Pays all 48 spots)

1st place – $140,000

2nd place – $50,000

3rd place – $32,000

4th place – $29,000

5th place – $26,000

Big Bass – $1,000 (awarded to boater with largest bass of the tournament)

• Co-angler Division (Pays all 48 spots)

1st place – $70,000

2nd place – $21,500

3rd place – $12,000

4th place – $10,500

5th place – $9,000

Big Bass – $1,000 (awarded to co-angler with largest bass of the tournament)

Format:

• Practice Day – Wednesday, July 5

Competitors in both divisions practice on the Connecticut River

• Opening Round – Thursday and Friday, July 6-7

Full field of 48 boaters and 48 co-anglers compete

Winning co-angler determined by the heaviest two-day catch

• Final Round – Saturday, July 8

The top 10 boaters are paired with camera crews and continue competition

Weights carry over from the opening round, with the winner determined by the heaviest three-day weight

Key Rules:

• Each angler may weigh-in five bass per day

• Only largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass may be weighed

• Only artificial lures are permitted

• Bass must be kept alive. Anglers are assessed an 8-ounce penalty for each bass brought to the weigh-in not alive (FLW Outdoors historically maintains a live release rate of 98 percent)

• Anglers who are late for the official check-in are assessed a 1 pound per minute penalty. Anglers more than 15 minutes late lose credit for that day’s weight

3:30 p.m. – Practice weigh-in at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

Thursday, July 6 – Free Berkley PowerBait*

7 a.m. – Takeoff at Charter Oak Landing, Reserve Road, Downtown Hartford

2 p.m. – Outdoor show opens at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

4 p.m. – Weigh-in at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

6 p.m. – Outdoor show closes at Connecticut Convention Center

6 to 8 p.m. – Chevy Pro Night at Gengras Chevrolet

7 a.m. – Takeoff at Charter Oak Landing, Reserve Road, Downtown Hartford

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Oak Hill Youth Fishing Derby at Great River Park in East Hartford

2 p.m. – Outdoor show opens at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

3 p.m. – Oak Hill Youth Fishing Derby winners recognized on stage at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

4 p.m. – Weigh-in at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

(Field cut to top 10 boaters. Co-angler competition concludes)

6 p.m. – Outdoor show closes at Connecticut Convention Center

Saturday, July 8 – Free rods and reels and FujiFilm cameras*:

Ranger 175VS bass boat powered by a 115-horsepower Yamaha giveaway**

7 a.m. – Takeoff at Charter Oak Landing, Reserve Road, Downtown Hartford

8:30 a.m. – New England Paralyzed Veterans of America takeoff at Charter Oak Landing, Reserve Road, Downtown Hartford

11 a.m. – Outdoor show opens at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

2 p.m. – New England Paralyzed Veterans of America weigh-in at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

4 p.m. – Final weigh-in at Connecticut Convention Center, Exhibit Halls A & B

6 p.m. – Outdoor show closes at Connecticut Convention Center

6:30 p.m. – Victory dinner compliments of Ranger Boats at Marriott Hartford Downtown

* Daily giveaways for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult, while supplies last.
