MINNEAPOLIS – Tune in Sunday, March 26 to “FLW Outdoors” on FSN for the $200,000 Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series event held in Tierra Verde, Fla. The first Eastern Division event of the $1.9 million FLW Redfish Series season concludes with the winning team claiming a cash prize of $37,500.

The “FLW Outdoors” saltwater series is a reality-format show told from the anglers’ perspective. Each week the top-five finalists are followed from takeoff to weigh-in, allowing the audience to feel the anglers’ nerves, listen to their strategy and learn from their mistakes. The stories evolve and the suspense grows throughout the one-hour show until the final weigh-in results are announced.

The March 26 show follows Florida natives and Old Tampa Bay experts Greg and Bryan Watts. This highly competitive brotherly duo is looking to defend their 2005 Eastern Division points title. After two days of competition, this team is in serious contention after catching four redfish that weighed 25 pounds, 2 ounces. The team caught their fish blind-casting 3-inch Berkley Gulp! minnows on 1/4-ounce Bass Assassin jigheads along a shallow ridge.

Newcomers to the FLW Redfish Series, Mike Anderson and Kenny Hyatt, both of Riverview, Fla., took a gamble on both days of the opening round by making an 85-mile run south. With less then an hour to fish, this team executes brilliantly bringing in a two-day total of 24 pounds, 14 ounces using a combination of Berkley Gulp! Shrimp and Mister Twister Exude plastics.

FSN also follows Team Yamaha anglers Ricky Murphy of Homestead, Fla., and Scott Guthrie of Jacksonville, Fla. Leading the event by 14 ounces with a two-day total of 26 pounds even, the duo caught their best redfish blind-casting Equalizer gold and black spoons over grass beds in Sarasota Bay. Watch as this team has the opportunity to become the first repeat winners in FLW Redfish Series history.
