Wal-Mart FLW Tour, April 9-12

Grab your shades and head for the backs of the pockets. Beaver Lake’s bass are going to be on their beds, said Farmington, Ark., pro John Sisemore. And that means big bass, heavy limits and a winning check that’s up for grabs. Mother Nature, however, can always throw FLW Tour pros a curveball.

“Weather can push the bass back out to deeper water, and heavy rains can really hurt the guys who are good at sight-fishing,” Sisemore said. “If the water is up in the bushes, I’d focus on flipping and pitching a jig, tube or lizard. If the fish back off into deeper water, I think it will be won with a Carolina rig. Drop-shotting will take quite a few limits as well.”

Although Beaver has all three species of black bass, Sisemore says anglers who want to take home some money need to catch at least three good largemouths every day.
