MANNING, S.C. – A pink sky peeked over the horizon shortly after takeoff this morning on Lake Santee Cooper for the final round of the EverStart Series Eastern Division third tournament of the season. While anglers geared up for a day of sun, there are no weather guarantees this week in South Carolina.

The sun made somewhat of an unexpected appearance yesterday, cooling off a bass bite that had been extremely productive under cloudy skies the first two days and forcing competitors to change tactics in midstream. While it was sunny again this morning, some of the 20 pro and co-angler finalists predicted it might not last. The divisional winners today will be the ones who can adapt best to the shifting shallow-water fishing conditions today.

Today is the fourth and final day of EverStart competition at Lake Santee Cooper. All competitors restarted the day with zero weight. The winning pro will receive $15,000 and a Ranger boat while the winning co-angler will receive $6,000.

The final weigh-in begins at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 481 West Boyce Street in Manning.
