Since 2002, McKinnie has fished with the FLW as both a boater and a co-angler at various BFL and FLW Series events. His best finish to date came on the Harris Chain of Lakes in 2006 when he placed second at a BFL event. McKinnie recently retired after a successful 32+ year career with a major power company and is now focusing on spending more time fishing. Currently residing in Umatila, Fla., McKinnie has plenty of experience fishing Florida lakes. He and his wife Jill enjoy spending time with their son and daughter-in-law and two grand-dogs (chocolate labs).When not fishing, Steve enjoys working on his farm and deer hunting in his spare time.
