My name is Evan Miles and I am a 2014 graduate of Centenary University. In college I founded and was president of the school’s first bass fishing club and competitive team. I raised over six thousand dollars from local businesses to pay for tournament related expenses and in only our second season competing in the college tournament series advanced to the FLW College Regional Fishing Tournament in Maryland. Since graduation, in the last two seasons competing in tournaments I have had over fifteen top ten finishes including two wins and have twice qualified for the Northeast Bassmasters Classic. Additionally, my partner and I finished in second place out of seventy teams for the season long tournament series. I believe in giving back to and supporting the sport of fishing and have served as an FLW Ambassador for the last two years at Walmart stores during the Annual Boating and Fishing Week each June. During that event I meet many people while wearing my jersey, recommending fishing equipment and during tournaments giving my sponsors as much exposure as possible. I also donate guided fishing trips to raise donations for the NJ based Save US Pets Foundation. Additionally, I am on the pro staff of an outdoor website and blog about my fishing experiences. I have an active fishing website, post to several other social media sites and have over 3,000 likes on my Facebook page further gaining brand awareness and potential financial gains for my sponsors. I know what hard work means and have been a captain of both my wrestling and cross country teams and will dedicate myself to the sport to fishing.
