Day two of the Costa FLW Series has been one rainy, windy mess thus far. It is without a doubt one curveball that will test even the most well-planned strategies of anglers.

The rain set in before the field even left C. Scott Driver Park this morning and hasn’t shown any sign of letting up since. The wind has steadily increased throughout the day and is now blowing about 20 miles per hour out of the south.

One nice thing about the storm system is that it brought warmer temperatures with it. The temp at takeoff was already a few degrees above yesterday’s high. While it may not impact the water temps today, it certainly is a step in the right direction.

As far as the fishing is concerned it seems as though a lot of anglers have slowed their presentations even more. Flipping seems to be the main technique of choice along with dragging worms and Senkos.

The majority of the anglers near the top of the leaderboard are making decent sized runs and eluded our camera crews so unfortunately no news to report there.

Keep an eye out for locals like George Kaption, Brandon Medlock and Jared McMillan because today is the type of day they can really makeup some ground to climb into the top 10 to fish tomorrow. On the other hand, guys like Juan Ruiz and Justin Morgan can lean on past knowledge to help keep them in the running for the title.

Without question and shakeup of the leareboard will be seen today. Tune into FLW Live at 3 p.m. ET to see who makes the big moves needed to advance to the final round.
