In an ongoing effort to provide as much interaction between world-class anglers and fishing fans as possible, FLWOutdoors.com has announced the 70th installment of FLW Live Reel Chat. On Tuesday, July 9 at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. ET), visitors to FLWOutdoors.com will be able to correspond directly with FLW Tour pro Casey Martin of New Market, Ala., the winner of the 2013 FLW Tour event on Lake Chickamauga, in a special live chat-room format.

Casey Martin shows off the exclamation point: An 8-5 kicker that anchored his final day 30-pound limit on Lake Chickamauga.Despite entering his rookie year as a pro on the FLW Tour in 2013, Casey Martin has performed admirably to say the least. The Alabama pro started the season off strongly with a sixth-place overall finish at the Tour event at Lake Okeechobee. Then, after surviving a series of tumultuous finishes over the next four events, Martin netted the top prize on Lake Chickamauga in June, the final regular-season contest of the season, and cemented his very first FLW Tour win as a pro in the process. Martin currently boasts nearly $300,000 in winnings at FLW events over the course of his career, which began back in 2003. The Alabama pro has also logged five wins total, including three wins as a co-angler on the FLW Tour – Lake Champlain and Lake Guntersville in 2011 and Kentucky Lake in 2012. In addition, Martin’s first-place finish at Lake Chickamauga guaranteed him an automatic invite into the 2013 Forrest Wood Cup, marking the first time he will be competing in the sport’s main event as a pro.

Throughout the season, Martin’s rookie exploits on the Tour have also been chronicled at each and every event in the FLW reality series, “Circuit Breaker.” To view the series, click here.

Chat directly with Martin

Participation in the upcoming chat is simple. At the start of the next live chat on July 9, visitors can log on at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. Eastern time) and interact directly with Martin or simply watch the chat unfold online. As always, FLW fishing fans may begin submitting questions immediately.

During the chat fishing fans will be able to ask Martin about his first-ever FLW Tour pro victory on Lake Chickamauga, what it’s like to take part in “Circuit Breaker,” pose tips-and-technique questions or ask anything else that comes to mind. Again, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com are able to log on and submit questions in advance of the scheduled chat in order to have the first shot at getting their questions answered. It’s also a great way to participate if you’re unable to make the July 9 live chat. However, for those who miss the chat entirely, a transcript of the event will be posted to the site in article form immediately following its conclusion.

In addition, fishing fans who missed out on any previous FLW Live Reel Chats can find links to their full transcripts here.

FLWOutdoors.com will offer the FLW Live Reel Chat format continually, with regularly scheduled chats occurring after each FLW Tour event. Also, additional chats will be added throughout each month as anglers or fishing celebrities become available.
