In an ongoing effort to provide as much interaction between world-class anglers and fishing fans as possible, FLWOutdoors.com has announced the 65th installment of FLW Live Reel Chat. On Monday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. ET), visitors to FLWOutdoors.com will be able to correspond directly with FLW Tour pro Drew Benton of Panama City, Fla., the winner of the 2013 FLW Tour event on Lake Okeechobee, in a special live chat-room format.

With over $110,000 in career FLW earnings, Benton recently kicked off his rookie season on the Walmart FLW Tour. And things couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. During his inaugural outing, Benton snared the tournament title in Florida, winning the Lake Okeechobee event with a total, four-day catch weighing 75 pounds, 7 ounces – nearly 5 full pounds more than his next closest competitor. Benton began his career with FLW in 2009, primarily concentrating on the EverStart Series until the 2013 season where he competed as an FLW Tour pro for the first time.

Chat directly with Benton

Participation in the upcoming chat is simple. At the start of the next live chat on Feb. 18, visitors can log on at 2 p.m. Central time and interact directly with Benton or simply watch the chat unfold online. As always, FLW fishing fans may begin submitting questions immediately.

During the chat fishing fans will be able to ask Benton about his recent Lake Okeechobee victory, what it’s like to be a rookie on Tour, pose tips-and-technique questions or ask anything else that comes to mind. Again, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com are able to log on and submit questions in advance of the scheduled chat in order to have the first shot at getting their questions answered. It’s also a great way to participate if you’re unable to make the Feb. 18. live chat. However, for those who miss the chat entirely, a transcript of the event will be posted to the site in article form immediately following its conclusion.

In addition, fishing fans who missed out on any previous FLW Live Reel Chats can find links to their full transcripts here.

FLWOutdoors.com will offer the FLW Live Reel Chat format continually, with regularly scheduled chats occurring after each FLW Tour event. Also, additional chats will be added throughout each month as anglers or fishing celebrities become available.
