In an ongoing effort to provide as much interaction between world-class anglers and fishing fans as possible, FLWOutdoors.com has announced the 49th installment of FLW Live Reel Chat. On Monday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. ET), visitors to FLWOutdoors.com will be able to correspond directly with Scott Martin, the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup winner, in a special live chat-room format.

Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., boasts nearly $1.875 million in winnings and 24 top-10 finishes since he began his career with FLW Outdoors in 1999. Martin, who recently took home the top prize of $600,000 after winning the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Ouachita, also has three other FLW Tour wins to his credit (Pascagoula River in 2000; and Lake Champlain in 2004 and 2009). Martin also scored an FLW Series win on Lake Okeechobee in 2010. Martin, the son the famous television personality Roland Martin, also will be one of the heavy favorites during the Sept. 15-18 FLW Tour Open on Lake Champlain – the second-to-last Tour event of the season.

Chat directly with Martin

At the start of the next live chat on Aug. 22, visitors can log on at 2 p.m. Central time and interact directly with Martin or simply watch the chat unfold online. As always, FLW Outdoors fishing fans may submit questions immediately.

During the chat fishing fans will be able to ask Martin about his recent Forrest Wood Cup victory on Lake Ouachita, inquire what it’s like to have a career as a professional bass angler, pose tips-and-technique questions or anything else that comes to mind. Again, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com are able to log on and submit questions in advance of the scheduled chat in order to have the first shot at getting their questions answered. It’s also a great way to participate if you’re unable to make the Aug. 22 live chat. However, for those who miss the chat entirely, a transcript of the event will be posted to the site in article form immediately following its conclusion.
