In an ongoing effort to provide as much interaction between world-class anglers and fishing fans as possible, FLWOutdoors.com has announced the 48th installment of FLW Live Reel Chat. On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. ET), visitors to FLWOutdoors.com will be able to correspond directly with Mark Rose, the 2011 FLW Tour Pickwick Lake winner, in a special live chat-room format.

With nearly $1.37 million in winnings and 28 top-10 finishes at FLW Outdoors-related events since 1996, Mark Rose of Marion, Ark., finally secured his first-ever FLW Tour win at Pickwick Lake on July 24. Rose, who has a remarkable 13 top-10 finishes on the FLW Tour since the 1999 season, has now won three tournaments on Pickwick Lake in the last four years including a 2007 FLW Series win, a 2009 EverStart Series Championship win as well as his most recent Tour victory in late July. Rose also has finished in third place overall in the FLW Tour Angler of the Year race for two consecutive seasons and will be participating in this year’s Forrest Wood Cup at Hot Springs, Ark., from Aug. 11-14.

Chat directly with Rose

Participation in the upcoming chat is simple. At the start of the next live chat on Aug. 2, visitors can log on at 2 p.m. Central time and interact directly with Rose or simply watch the chat unfold online. As always, FLW Outdoors fishing fans may submit questions immediately.

During the chat fishing fans will be able to ask Rose about his recent victory at Pickwick Lake, inquire what it’s like to have a career as a professional bass angler, pose tips-and-technique questions or anything else that comes to mind. Again, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com are able to log on and submit questions in advance of the scheduled chat in order to have the first shot at getting their questions answered. It’s also a great way to participate if you’re unable to make the Aug. 2 live chat. However, for those who miss the chat entirely, a transcript of the event will be posted to the site in article form immediately following its conclusion.

In addition, bass-fishing fans who missed out on any previous FLW Live Reel Chats can find links to their full transcripts here.

FLWOutdoors.com will offer the FLW Live Reel Chat format continually, with regularly scheduled chats occurring after each FLW Tour event. Also, additional chats will be added throughout each month as anglers or fishing celebrities become available.
