In an ongoing effort to provide as much interaction between world-class anglers and fishing fans as possible, FLWOutdoors.com has announced the 42nd installment of FLW Live Reel Chat. On Tuesday, March 15 at 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. ET), visitors to FLWOutdoors.com will be able to correspond directly with Bryan Thrift, the 2011 FLW Tour Beaver Lake winner, in a special live chat-room format.

After recording a top-five finish during the first three events of the 2010 FLW Tour season, including a victory at Lake Norman, Bryan Thrift of Shelby, N.C., kept his foot firmly on the accelerator, ultimately turning in one of the best overall performances ever recorded in a single season of Tour competition. When all was said and done, Thrift recorded only one finish lower than 10th place during the entire year (a 21st-place effort at Lake Ouachita). In addition, Thrift grabbed a top-10 finish at the Forrest Wood Cup and won the 2010 FLW Tour Angler of the Year title going away.

Cue up the 2011 FLW Tour season and it appears that Thrift is picking up right where he left off. Although he recorded a 38th-place finish at the FLW Tour Open on Lake Okeechobee, Thrift turned right around and captured the tournament title at Beaver Lake during the first FLW Tour Major of the year. The win was good enough to earn him a first-place prize of $125,000 as well as vault him atop the leaderboard of the 2011 FLW Tour Angler of the Year race. With his recent win, Thrift now boasts 23 top-10 finishes as well as career earnings totaling over $815,000.

Chat directly with Thrift

Participation in the upcoming chat is simple. At the start of the next live chat on March 15, visitors can log on at 2 p.m. Central time and interact directly with Thrift or simply watch the chat unfold. As always, FLW Outdoors fishing fans may submit questions immediately and wait until the start of the FLW Live Reel Chat.

FLW Live Reel ChatDuring the chat fishing fans will be able to ask Thrift about his recent victory at Beaver Lake, inquire what it’s like to have a career as a professional bass angler, pose tips-and-technique questions or anything else that comes to mind. Again, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com are able to log on and submit questions in advance of the scheduled chat in order to have the first shot at getting their questions answered. It’s also a great way to participate if you’re unable to make the live chat on March 15. However, for those who miss the chat entirely, a transcript of the event will be posted to the site in article form immediately following its conclusion.

In addition, bass-fishing fans who missed out on any previous FLW Live Reel Chats, can find links to their full transcripts here.

FLWOutdoors.com will offer the FLW Live Reel Chat format continually, with regularly scheduled chats occurring after each FLW Tour event. Also, additional chats will be added throughout each month as anglers or fishing celebrities become available.
