After seeing the conditions firsthand this morning, I have decided to make several last-minute changes to my Table Rock roster. For starters, I am adding Scott Suggs, Dave Lefebre, Mark Rose, Dion Hibdon and Terry Baksay.

With the water being much colder this year, bank fishing won’t be nearly as productive as it was last year. That plays right into Suggs’ deep-water swimbait program. Rose and Hibdon are excellent deep structure fishermen as well. I am taking Lefebre solely on rumor.

The last few days the new Chevy pro has been all over the social-networking platforms holding up pictures of big Table Rock bass. He could be fooling us, but I’m willing to take the chance. Plus, he’s got a nice track record on Table Rock. I am taking Baksay because of his prowess with a jerkbait. Last year both jerkbaits and crankbaits were effective. I look for deeper-diving jerkbaits to be more of the ticket this time around.

To make room for those guys, I am pulling off Brent Ehrler, Justin Lucas, Bryan Thrift, Jacob Powroznik and Scott Canterbury. I talked with Ehrler and Lucas this morning and neither of them exactly exuded confidence. I haven’t talked with Thrift, Powroznik or Canterbury, but all of them prefer burning up the bank. Canterbury in particular was on an awesome shallow-running crankbait pattern last year. But like I mentioned earlier, I don’t believe it will play this year. The water is too cold and it’s much clearer in the James and White rivers.

That’s all I have for now. Don’t forget your picks are due tonight at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. Good luck and be sure to tune in to FLWOutdoors.com’s live on-the-water coverage.
