Now that the final results are in, FLWOutdoors.com would like to congratulate everyone who took the time to participate in the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge. While no contestant was able to correctly guess the top five anglers at the last Wal-Mart FLW Tour competition of the season and walk away with the $1 million grand prize, 25 participants did manage to win a variety of great prizes.

Topping the list of fantasy-fishing prognosticators was Ronnie Chastain of Haltom City, Texas, whose five-angler combination earned a check for $5,000. Chastain’s fantasy team earned 974 points at the Forrest L. Wood Championship on Lake Hamilton, four points ahead of the next-best guesser. Chastain’s score was the highest registered in the Fishing Challenge in 2005, though the format of the championship created an environment conducive to higher-than-normal scores on a comparative level.

To win the $1 million grand prize in the last Fishing Challenge – which took place July 13-16 on Lake Hamilton near Hot Springs, Ark. – a participant would have had to have selected the following five pros, in sequential order, so as to mirror the actual championship outcome:

1st: George Cochran of Hot Springs, Ark.

2nd: Chad Grigsby of Colon, Mich.

3rd: John Murray of Phoenix

4th: Dean Rojas of Grand Saline, Texas

5th: Anthony Gagliardi of Prosperity, S.C.

Other awards, presented to the top 25 contestants, ranged from a die-cast model of an official FLW Outdoors sponsor boat to FLW Outdoors-branded tackle and other fishing gear.

Note to winners: Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery of prizes.

Winners of the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge included the following top five:

1st: Chastain, who won a check for $5,000.
