Fishing Challenge winners announced for Beaver Lake contest
New York man wins $5,000 for first place; Sign-ups ongoing for next event
Now that the final results are in, FLWOutdoors.com would like to congratulate everyone who took the time to participate in the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge brought to you by Chevy. While no contestant was able to correctly guess the top five anglers at the last FLW Tour competition and walk away with the $1 million grand prize, 25 participants did manage to win a variety of great prizes.
Topping the list of fantasy-fishing prognosticators was James Griffith of West Leyden, N.Y., whose five-angler combination earned him a check for $5,000. Neubill’s fantasy team earned 893 points in the Beaver Lake contest.
To win the $1 million grand prize in the last Fishing Challenge – which took place April 13-16 on Beaver Lake near Rogers, Ark. – a participant would have had to have selected the following five pros, in sequential order, so as to mirror the actual tournament outcome:
1st: Andre Moore of Scottsdale, Ariz.
2nd: Darrel Robertson of Jay, Okla.
3rd: Alton Jones of Waco, Texas
4th: Clifford Pirch of Payson, Ariz.
5th: Kevin Vida of Clare, Mich.
Other awards, presented to the top 25 contestants, ranged from a die-cast model of an official FLW Outdoors sponsor boat to FLW Outdoors-branded tackle and other fishing gear.
Note to winners: Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery of prizes.
Winners of the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge included the following top five:
1st: Griffith, who won a check for $5,000.
2nd: William Pugh of Saint Cloud, Fla., who won a die-cast replica of an official FLW Tour Ranger Comanche sponsor boat and a one-year FLW Outdoors membership.
3rd: Melissa Wilson of Spanish Fort, Ala., who won a set of FLW Outdoors-branded lures and a Plano gear bag.
4th: Greg Tarbert of Flushing, Ohio, who won a set of FLW Outdoors-branded lures.
5th: James Breyman of Goleta, Calif., who won a Plano gear bag and an FLW Outdoors T-shirt.
