Winds have subsided considerably since practice, but Lake Erie’s still showing her temperamental side to Rayovac FLW Series Northern Division anglers fishing the last divisional event out of Sandusky, Ohio.
From the water, FLW photographer Brian Lindberg reports 2- to 3-foot rollers making boats rides a challenging venture. On the upside, anglers were catching lots of fish and it seemed like it didn’t take long to get the fish going once a boat got tuned in on a good spot.
Several went to the popular Pelee Island area and worked various bottom contour features with a mix of drop-shots and deep-diving crankbaits.
Divisional points leader Glenn Browne had a limit and was culling by late morning.
Look for limits from most of the field and a handful of bags in the upper teens. We’re expecting someone to break 20 pounds here on day one.
Tune into FLW Live at 2:30 p.m. ET for all the action.
