Lake Dardanelle showed her stingy side on day two of the Rayovac Central Division tournament as anglers seem to be struggling to find quality bites.

Day one leader Jason Lieblong had a limit of about 10 pounds by late morning. FLW photographer Shane Durrance reports that Lieblong was alternating between a frog, a worm and a swim jig.

Second-place pro Nick Prvonazac had a slow morning with no keepers in the boat at 11:30. He was targeting reeds, grass, pads and wood around an island about three miles from the launch ramp. He threw a frog and flipped/pitched various cover.

Several other boats were also fishing near Prvonozac with a similar mix of topwaters, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and flipping/pitching rigs.

While trailing Prvonazac, we marked loads of shad and saw several schools dimpling the surface along the edges of a break from about 6 to 17 feet. Bass were busting the baitfish, but most appeared to be small fish.

Sunny conditions lasted until about noon, with increasing cloud cover providing sporadic breaks from the sweltering heat.
