Day three of the Rayovac FLW Series presented by Plano on Lake Champlain started with a beautiful sunrise and light rain that tapered off by the beginning of takeoff.

For leader Glenn Browne, the beauty was soon marred by a breakdown that occurred shortly into his run south. Luckily, FLW Tour pro Dave Lefebre (who finished 43rd in this event) was there for the rescue – after going through boat check again in the borrowed boat, Browne was able to roll south to Ticonderoga.

Once he arrived, Browne initially struggled, and didn’t have a limit by 11 o’clock. Then, Browne boxed a 4-pounder to bring him up to an estimated 17 pounds and celebrated with a fist pump.

Browne’s closest completion has also failed to close the gap. Both Otis Darnell  and Gerald Spohrer are fishing up north in the Missisquoi area and both have limits for less than 13 pounds.

Plenty could still happen, as Browne proved early this morning, but if you want to see Glenn Browne pick up the win on Champlain you should probably come right back here at 2 p.m. ET to watch the final weigh-in live.
