Sunglasses and clothing that can resist all that Mother Nature throws at it are critical for hard-core anglers. Here’s what’s new in those categories at this year’s ICAST show.

Clothing

Huk

Huk (pronounced “hook”) is coming into the tournament fishing world big-time. Here, Marketing Specialist Barry Gaines displays one of Huk’s new technical fishing shirts with mesh cloth under the arms. The 2016 product line will cover an angler from head to foot, and in all kinds of weather. HukGear.com

Grundens

Grundens is a new technical clothing company that is turning a lot of heads at ICAST. Here, Product Director Eric Tietje holds a pair of virtually indestructible fishing pants that blend fabrics of different weights together for more durability. The plier pockets are lined with a puncture-proof inner coating. Shorts, fishing shirts and rainwear are designed with the same functionality in mind. Grundens.com
