FLW Set To Announce 2016 Walmart FLW Tour Schedule, Ink China Agreement At ICAST

ORLANDO, Fla. – FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, will announce host locations and dates for the 2016 Walmart FLW Tour regular season dates during a press conference scheduled for Thursday, July 16 at 4 p.m. EST during ICAST 2015 held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Kathy Fennel, FLW President of Operations and FLW Tournament Emcee Chris Jones will be joined by FLW Tour pro anglers Matt Arey, David Dudley, Anthony Gagliardi, Scott Martin, Tom Redington and Mark Rose, and to reveal the 2016 schedule.

 

Immediately following the schedule reveal, Fennel will also be participating in a contract signing with Gang Li, Vice President of the Florida Culture Exchange Association (FCEA) representing Sunny Lake (Beijing) Sport Development, LLC China to bring FLW-sanctioned bass-fishing tournaments to the world’s most populous country.

 

China will run a series of FLW tournaments that advance anglers to a new international division at the Rayovac FLW Series Championship beginning in 2016. The highest finisher among countries represented in the international division will then advance to the Forrest Wood Cup, making it the sport’s only true world championship.
